Well big shout out to all our lifeguards, who keep an eye on us in the water, this time we say thank you to the Bradley Beach lifeguards who stepped up.

Just a heads up, you should always swim in areas where a lifeguard is on duty and you are in sight of them at all times.

Also, you should check in with the lifeguards no matter what beach you are swimming at, just so you know the tides, and to see if any rip currents are going on. I'm sure you have heard just as much as I have about people being pushed out and not being able to swim back in.

Staying with the rip currents, just last year over in Belmar I noticed a couple of people who needed help getting back in just from that problem alone. Please be extra careful and as they say, there is power in numbers, so always tell a friend or family member where you're going out to swim.

Yes back on July 14th, Bradley Beach police say a swimmer was found face down in the ocean, unconscious and not breathing. Thankfully the Bradley Beach lifeguards were there and got right into their life-saving skills did CPR, and got a pulse back on the person, and best yet will make a full recovery after going to the local hospital, according to newbreak.com.

These amazing lifeguards were given a lot of props and love last week at a Bradley Beach council meeting for saving the life of a swimmer.

So next time you're at the beach stop by a lifeguard stand, show your appreciation, and give them a thank you for what they are doing keeping us safe.
