The famous actor has announced an assembly school gym located out in Utah called Payson High School.
The school is calling it's final prom because it is going to be relocated. Moreover, that was where the icon movie was filmed back in 1984. You can get more information on this story by clicking right HERE.
During a broadcast on the "Today" show, Kevin Bacon was very thankful to all the students who invited him to come out to the prom. He even is quoted as saying to the kids of the school about the film and the school " “a big part of my life.” He also said something very cool to the students, “Thank you, guys. Let’s dance.”
If you recall back when the movie was made it, challenges a small town, and tries to ban dancing. It all gets overturned during the prom scene, and thanks to Kenny Loggins with the amazing song that I still hear at every wedding or bar from time to time.

How The Students Got Kevin Bacon To Attend:
The students of Payson High School, all got together with a campaign to get this started. It was called the #BacontoPayson, and it was all over social media. In this campaign, they reenacted and choreographed a lot of the dance moves that were in "Footloose," all in high hopes of getting Kevin Bacon's attention. Well, I guess it worked because he is on his way back to the prom. I got to say this is pretty awesome, and let's see if he walks away being prom king this year.
So in conclusion, if I went to high school where they filmed "Fast Times At Ridgemont High," I would be asking for Sean Penn to come the school as Jeff Spicoli for history class.
