Dentato's Clam Bar, a culinary institution for thousands, had to close its doors seemingly for good last year and move from it's longtime location in a kiosk at 800 Boardwalk in front of Casino Pier on the Seaside Heights boardwalk. Now, comes word that Dentato's Clam Bar will be alive and well, and is now located at 1205 Boardwalk, right next to Berkeley Candy.

Although the famed Jersey Shore eatery did not make our list last year of the Top 5 Sausage And Pepper Sandwiches on the boards, causing a slew of backlash and controversy, they are beloved by thousands of vacationers and locals alike. From their mouth-watering sausage and pepper sandos to their over-the-top cheesesteak creations, burgers, fries, and of course the clams! The excitement built quickly on Monday after Dentato's announced on their Facebook page. Over 500 "likes" and nearly 300 comments, most all well wishes and sighs of relief flooded the Seaside walkup's announcement post.

Meanwhile, a 2019 review of the eatery, written by the website Left At The Fork, stated, Dentato’s hefty sausage is coarse-ground. They split it and give it a good grill on the flattop till it achieves a toothsome crustiness, and then it’s inserted in a lightly grilled sub roll along with sauteed peppers and onions. There’s a pot of red sauce simmering on the grill, and you can have a ladle of the stuff dragged across your sandwich if you like. It’s not necessary. The sausage is mildly spiced, and the flavor that stands out is pork.

Well, it looks like boardwalk patrons will once again get to enjoy those sausages and more at a staple of Seaside Heights, with the news on Dentatos' Clam Bar. While Memorial Day weekend is still a couple of months away, it's comforting to know that one memory of the Jersey Shore for generations, won't end up just a memory.
