The Aerosmith Tribute Act, known as Last Child, is scheduled to be performed this Spring at the Strand Theater in Lakewood. The group is just one of a handful of rock and pop tribute groups scheduled over the next few months!
About The Strand Theater.
The Strand Theater, located at 400 Clifton Avenue in downtown Lakewood, is operated by the 501(c)3 organization known as Strand Ventures. The Strand first opened its doors way back in 1922.
The history of this little theater is quite impressive. According to it's website, the Strand offers a wide variety of live entertainment in New Jersey. Furthermore, the venue features activities for senior citizens, theater camps for children and teens, and is well-known for its intimate Backstage Pass series which offers a unique, personal entertainment experience.
Meanwhile, over the past 100 plus years, the Strand has brought cultural arts to the Jersey Shore. It has remained a staple for Jersey Shore entertainment during this time with nationally renowned acts. These include legends like Milton Berle, Loudon Wainwright, George Burns, Don McLean, Louie CK, Taylor Swift, Charlie Daniels, George Carlin and many more. They have all taken the stage at the Strand!
Take A Musical Trip Back In Time This Spring.
First up is Last Child, The Aerosmith Tribute. This five piece ensemble out of New York City has appeared at venues such as Daryl's House Club in Pawling, NY, The Cutting Room in NYC, Wally's in Hampton Beach New Hampshire, The Rockbox Theater in Fredericksburg Texas, Warehouse Live in Houston Texas, Rochaus in West Dundee Illinois, and many more venues, events and music festivals. From songs like “Dream On” to “Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing,” they embody the sound and look of legends.
Last Child will take the stage at The Strand on Saturday April 6th.
Other events coming to the Strand this Spring include Creedence Revived, the Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute Show, on March 23rd, Just Sabbath Featuring the Ozz Man Himself, Stephen Desko on Saturday May 4th, and The Ultimate Doors Show, on Saturday June 29th.
