According to Seaside Heights Live, the show will take place at The Beach Stage in Seaside Heights, located at Blaine Ave & the Boardwalk. Meanwhile the lineup is filled with Rock and Roll legends! Already signed to appear in live on the beach that day are Southside Johnny And The Asbury Jukes & The Rascals.

Who Are The Rascals, You Ask?

According to event coordinator Ticketweb.com, the two legendary founders of The Rascals are together again. Felix Cavaliere and Gene Cornish cite their fans,  and love of their timeless songs as reasons for collaboration. Furthermore, they are Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, Grammy Hall of Famers, Vocal Group Hall of Famers and Songwriter Hall of Fame members. Also, the Rascals are widely considered the best ‘blue-eyed soul’ group to come out of the 1960s. It is the opinion of millions of fans that their music is the soundtrack of a generation. Moreover, the Rascals have 17 Top 20 hits, seven Top 10 hits, and three No.1 hits. You can expect to hear their biggest hit songs,  including “Groovin’, “People Got To Be Free” and “Good Lovin’.

Here's a clip of them from the 1960's when they were known as the Young Rascals, doing their signature song.

According to their website,  The Jukes emerged from the New Jersey shore scene in 1974. Although they carried over a significant influence, and even personnel  from Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, the Jukes evolved as more of a white R&B horn band. Organized by singer John Lyon, guitarist/songwriter Steve Van Zandt, later of the E Street Band, and Richie Rosenberg, the band is well known for their high-energy live shows and no-holds-barred songs. Their timeless Jersey Shore anthems include “I Don’t Wanna Go Home,” “Havin’ a Party,” “The Fever,” “Talk to Me,” “Trapped Again,” and “This Time It’s For Real.”

Here are the Jukes performing a classic, live.

Best Rat Rock Bands: STP, VH, ZEP, PEARL JAM, FOOS, PEPPERS,AC/DC Favorite New Bands: Glorious Sons, Rival Sons, Dirty Honey Most Embarrassing Moment: the moment my mother reads this shit! Next to that, it would have to be the day I was baked on earth day in Central Park and met Keefer Sutherland…baked too, I believe.
