The Savannah Bananas Played Some Baseball In Trenton, New Jersey
Hey, Rat Rockers if you love baseball and have a great time you would have all that and then some if you ever get to see this team play. They are called ” The Savannah Bananas” based out of Savannah, Georgia, and founded back in 2016. The team continues to bring record-break numbers as far as crowds in the stands go.
They are well known for getting crazy on the field and getting the crowd going. They even changed some of the rules to the way they play baseball that they call “Banana Ball Rules.” For instance, the games are not won by runs but by points, the most runs in an inning get one point but in the 9th inning every run that comes through counts as a point, there is also a 2-hour time limit, batters cannot step out of the batters box, also batters cannot bunt.
These players get so into it that I have seen the pitchers come out on stilts and throw. If you are a fan hanging out watching the game and a foul ball comes out to the crowd and you catch it, it does count as an out. The rules are pretty funny and we are happy to have them here in New Jersey.
Just this past week they brought their antics right over to Trenton Thunder Ballpark. The game was sold out because it is that much fun. If you ever hear of them coming around our way again make sure you get out there and bring the kids too they will love and have a smile on their faces the whole game. You can always check their schedule and find out more information right by clicking right HERE.
Thank you for putting eyes on this post and as always thank you for always rocking out with me and 95.9 The Rat, much love – Gotts
Trentonnn! Thanks for an incredible night full of amazing memories. We packed in a whole lot of fun with a contortionist coaching first base, Jackson Olson's great return to the field, an outfit change (iykyk), and last but not least...a walk off win from Bill LeRoy! We couldn't… pic.twitter.com/ott6iKURwL
