Hey Rat Rockers now just when you think being crazy and stupid and going to jail was suppose to make go down the right path as far getting rehabilitated and getting back to normal and getting your life together, then you go right back down the WRONG way yet again. This guy just did that !

Here is the scoop on this story, a 21 year old out in Mississippi escaped jail then decided to break into a house and held 3 helpless and innocent people at gunpoint to rob them and did this for a couple of hours, plus he then stole one of the victims cars  and took off and apparently he was not to good at driving because he crashed it. It didn't take the local police long to find him, do to the fact he was found in a garbage can trying to hide.

He was already doing time for aggravated assault and was in jail for seven years and only had a couple months to go before all this mess started.  All he had to do was his time and would have been released in just a couple of months left on his sentence but now he is looking at an additional 40 YEARS !!

How can this young man can go to jail, do his time but break out then go right back to crime is just crazy if you ask me. It sounds like this guy will never leave the life of crime and needs to stay behind bars. Let's just hope they have a tighter eye on him this time so he can't be out in public to do more harm to us and society.

On October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy made landfall marking it the costliest disaster in Garden State history. The category 3 hurricane also known as “Superstorm Sandy” devastated the East Coast with it especially taking a tremendous toll on New Jersey and the Jersey Shore.

One particular area in Ocean County was the Borough of Mantoloking which was left unrecognizable. Hurricane Sandy's record-breaking storm surge crushed the small beach town while ripping dozens of homes from the ground and even washing some away.

The Mantoloking Police Department shared the photos below with us capturing their tragic view of the aftermath back in October 2012. Now, ten years later, we are looking back at what some are still recovering from to this day in the year 2022.

We would like to thank the men and women of the Mantoloking Police Department for their service.

Gotts is the unofficial mascot of the county. Whenever WRAT is hosting an event, people ask if Gotts will be there. there. Like Bigfoot, many people claim to see him in the area. According to Gotts, he was thrown out of home school in Monroe Township. To keep up with his own legend, Gotts likes writing about wacky local news that happens – such as pepperoni vandals. His favorite movie is Point Break, and is a big lover of Miller Lite. His favorite words to live by are “The windshield is always bigger than the rearview mirror”.
