Hey Rat Rockers Gotts here and God Bless the local and even out of state law enforcement. I got myself up early  morning to not only give a shout out to our local police but to show my love and support and a thank you. Today the brave men and women that carry a badge are riding or should I say pedaling to Washington DC from NJ.

Yes you are reading that right, by car its about 3 and 1/2 hours and it's also 203.5 MILES ! The Police that are taking part of this are not just from Jersey too I met a bunch of police that were from Detroit and even from California as well that were part of the Highway Patrol to show how much this means to all.

The police riders will be doing this not just in one day, tonight they should be stopping in Atlantic City to give the legs a rest. Now the primary purpose of the "Police Unity Tour" is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty.

The secondary reason is to raise funds for the family's and National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum.  This awesome ride started at Belmar Pavilion on 5th ave and a lot of love and support from the locals right here in Jersey were out there for them before they kicked up their kickstands.

I estimated and heard a count of about 550 male and female police officers took off about 7 am this morning and it was a beautiful send off for them. I want to wish the all the riders a safe and amazing ride, and may the wind be at their backs and keep pushing them forward. God Bless

Gotts is the unofficial mascot of the county. Whenever WRAT is hosting an event, people ask if Gotts will be there. there. Like Bigfoot, many people claim to see him in the area. According to Gotts, he was thrown out of home school in Monroe Township. To keep up with his own legend, Gotts likes writing about wacky local news that happens – such as pepperoni vandals. His favorite movie is Point Break, and is a big lover of Miller Lite. His favorite words to live by are “The windshield is always bigger than the rearview mirror”.
