Say Hello To The Ragin’ Cajun Food Truck
How this didn’t become a thing a long, long time ago… I’m not too sure… but it’s here now and quite frankly this is deliciousness on four wheels. Ragin’ Cajun…

Belmar, New Jersey. The creole restaurant legend, Ragin’ Cajun, has released a picture of their new food truck. Locals rejoice.
Courtesy of Ragin' CajunHow this didn't become a thing a long, long time ago... I'm not too sure... but it's here now and quite frankly this is deliciousness on four wheels.
Ragin' Cajun has been a soul food/creole/Louisiana/bayou mecca for foodies, families and spicy chow hounds for over two decades. Their steak tips are ridic, the jambalaya is outtasite and Gator sausage. If you're telling me this stuff is now on wheels, I'm happy!
If you know the local history of the Ragin' Cajun family tree then you know this place is more than a restaurant it's a place that makes friends. In December of 2022, Ragin' Cajun celebrated 30 years in business.
So have a peek at the new Ragin Cajun food truck! They sent us a message saying that this was an idea they wanted to tackle before the pandemic but, well, we all know how that goes... But we're sure glad it's becoming a thing now!
The restaurant says that you'll probably run into this beauty at various stops along the Jersey Shore and since Rajin' Cajun isn't a lunch place (only dinner) we may find that this baby is out for a lunch thing soon. They also say they're thinking about being available for hire for private events. Now, you're talkin!
We don't have a launch date for the Ragin' Cajun food truck quite yet as they're still working on getting all the approvals needed for something like this but when we do, we'll be sure to pass it along!
Feast Your Eyes On Some Of The Best Bar Pies On The Jersey Shore
3 things go best with an ice-cold pint at your favorite local watering hole; a good juicy burger, a nice big plate of wings, and a solid filling bar pie.
A decent bar pie is a difficult thing to master. Some of the places on this list do an amazing job elevating the typical bar pie. When you’re talking pizza of any kind in New Jersey, there’s bound to be fighting and heavy discussions on who does it best.
Right now, we’re focusing on good bar pies, not who makes the best pizza in the Garden State. Pull up a stool, a cold refreshing adult beverage, and a good bar pie, and enjoy yourself.
Squan Tavern - 15 Broad St, Manasquan, NJ 08736
This was one of the MOST mentioned places when it came to pizza from a bar. I'm partial to their sausage pie, soooo good!!

Klee's Bar & Grill - 101 Boulevard, Seaside Heights, NJ 08751
My absolute favorite is "The Great White Pie" loaded with garlic. By the way, I get the large, not the bar pie. All of their pizza offerings are excellent.

Urban Coal House Pizza + Bar -515 NJ-70, Brick Township, NJ 08723 & 2 Bridge Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701
Don't miss the chance to order the "San Danielle." This fabulous creation has arugula, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and is made with San Marzano tomatoes. The selection of pies is excellent.
Alba's Pub - 2313 County Rte 547, Lakehurst, NJ 08733
Lots of military folks hang here. Well the place is in Lakehurst. They do a pretty good bar pie here. I love the cheesesteak pie, and yes I get the large size. Good drinks and decent food can be found at Alba's.
A.PBoathouse Bar & Grill - 1309 Main St, Belmar, NJ 07719
I love a place that's within walking distance of WRAT radio. My favorite thing here is the lemon pepper wings. My second favorite is the wood fired bar pie. Come check it out. Just a few blocks from Belmar Beach.
Pine Tar Bar & Grill - 121 S Main St, Forked River, NJ 08731
I have never heard of this place until Joe, who rocks at work in Lacey and listens to the WRAT religiously, gave me the heads up. He's partial to the pepperoni and sausage pie. After checking out the menu, I spied the Fig Pie. OMG, this thing looks heavenly. Fig jam, gorgonzola, arugula, and a drizzle of honey. Honey, I'm all about that.
PTReef & Barrel - 153 Sea Girt Ave, Manasquan, NJ 08736
I remember when this place was called "Edgar's." If you go on Mondays, you can take advantage of the $7.00 bar pie special.

Windward Tavern - 292 Princeton Ave, Brick Township, NJ 08724
Good food, good service, good drinks, and really good thin crust bar pies.
Johnny Mac House of Spirits - 208 Main St, Asbury Park, NJ 07712
Is it the best bar pie on the Shore? No, but it is a darn good bar pie, and it's free all day, every day when you order a cocktail. Johnny Mac's is a crazy, fun place to hang. Just ask Gotts.
Caffrey's - 440 US-9, Forked River, NJ 08731
It's hard to find a bar or a pub that serves a broccoli rabe and garlic pie. I found one, in Forked River at one of my favorite places in Ocean County. They also make a slammin' shrimp scampi pie. Caffrey's kicks out some good burgers too.
Murphy's Tavern - 17 Ward Ln, Rumson, NJ 07760
Automatically we think a place with an Irish name wouldn't know anything about making a really good bar pie. We were WRONG! Several people I spoke with claim the bar pies are incredibly delicious. They do have a white truffle pie on the menu, and I'd be interested in grabbing one of those along with their handcrafted cocktails.

MJ's Restaurant Bar and Grill -Various locations: Neptune, Bayville, Long Branch, Matawan, Middletown, Spotswood, and Tinton Falls
There are some fine gourmet pies in several sizes that include the 10 inch bar pie. A great selection of choices too. That Thai Chili Chicken pie looks scrumptious!
