Jackson Moose Lodge Moving To Tommy’s At Millstone
In a joyous and surprising move, the Jackson Moose Lodge 1459 announced last week they are under contract to sell their current location and are ready to move!
In an official letter dated April 16th, the Board Of Officers of Jackson Moose Lodge 1459 announced that the lodge property at 1240 East Veterans Highway in Jackson was under contract to be sold. However, in announcing that, the board also announced that the Moose Lodge had signed a contract of their own, to purchase Tommy’s Inn at Millstone. Tommy’s is located at 560 Monmouth Road in Millstone, in close proximity to Six Flags Great Adventure, the Jackson Outlets, as well as the new Jackson Crossing sports and entertainment complex.
The lodge’s letter went on to say they were holding a farewell celebration this weekend at the old lodge, and that closing’s on both facilities would be taking place early next month.
In a heartfelt portion of the letter, the Board Officers wrote “Stay tuned for more information on the Grand Opening at our new lodge. We are looking forward to your continued support and future growth as we move forward in our new establishment. In the words of Henry Ford “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.”
The history of the American Moose Lodge can be traced all the way back to 1888, and the original Moose Lodge founder, doctor Henry Wilson.
Doctor Wilson successfully established the first lodge in in Louisville, Kentucky. In the early years, the Moose was to serve a modest goal of offering men an opportunity to gather socially, to care for one another’s needs and celebrate life together. Since those early years, the fraternal organization rapidly expanded to include valuable service to their respective communities.
