Jersey City’s Danny Hurley Wins The College B-Ball Championship Coaching UCONN!
Let’s start with basketball…where the UConn Huskies are your men’s basketball National Champions as UConn took down San Diego State in the Championship Game last night…76 to 59.
Tristen Netwon had a game-high 19 points for the Huskies in their win. And UConn head coach Danny Hurley is now a champion! The star at St. Anthony’s High School and Seton Hall gave a huge shout-out to Jersey City after the game…it was pretty awesome. So congrats to Danny and the UConn Huskies…excellent stuff!

In the NBA…the Knicks, Nets, and 76’ers were all inactive yesterday (as was the rest of the NBA due to the College Championship). Tonight the Nets take on the Timberwolves in Minnesota. Brooklyn is 43 and 35…currently 6th in the Eastern Conference.

Baseball! The Yankees looked good again last night as the Yanks took down the Phillies…8 to 1…due to great pitching and big hitting. Nestor Cortes looked great on the mound a year after his All-Star season as he receives the win. Anthony Rizzo and Gleyber Torres each homered for the Yanks…who are now 3 and 1.

Meanwhile, the Mets were crushed by the Brewers…10 to nothing. Met starter Carlos Carrasco gave up five runs and receives the loss. The Mets are 3 and 2.

Hockey. The Devils, Rangers, and Flyers were all inactive yesterday. Tonight the Devils face the Penguins at the Prudential Center. The Devils are 48-21-8 for the season.

Football. The NFL Draft is coming up on April 27th and NFL football insiders seem to think that the Jets could make their push for Aaron Rodgers right now. With the Packers interested in the Jets’ draft picks, maybe the Jets can exchange a pick or two for Rodgers. We’ll see!
