Take A Look At Gotts’ Family History
Hey Rat Rokers Gotts here and I found some great pics of my family from way back in the day and my great-grandparents and other family members.
The first photo is of one of my grandmother’s parents from Ireland. It sounds a bit crazy but back in 1901, they decided to leave and make a better life here in America. Yup, they went to Ellis Island.
After moving around a bit they decided to come to NJ over in Bergen County and really that’s where my family really started. My grandmother stayed up that way and worked all throughout North Jersey. It’s pretty cool to see these old pics and look back on how it all started.
God Bless my family and everything that they accomplished. Check out some of the old classic cars they had too. A lot of these old pics are from my aunt’s collection. I wanted to share them with you cause here at The Rat I consider you as a family too.
If you didn’t know already I come from a big family with 4 older brothers raised right here in New Jersey. When I look at these old photos it reminds me how hard they worked and it was not like it was today. No cell phones in these pics LOL. On a lot of pics, you might see the year they were taken but I will guess around the 1920s.

It’s almost like going to Ancestry.com, I would like to think that my family would be proud of me for working in the radio business and looking down on me and my brothers and parents and having a good laugh with us.
