Belmar Beach Lockers: Update

The local beach locker fees are due by April 3rd.

Those of us who rent a beach locker keep an eye out for the annual renewal email this time of year.  And this past week it looks like that renewal email was dropped into current beach locker renters.

However, there's a bit of a switch in this year's process.  It used to be that you'd drop off your dough at the municipal building, get your locker number on your receipt and that would be it.

A few years ago, an online management system was employed that a lot of local municipalities are using to organize payments... But this year, a whole new registration process is involved.

According to the email from the town of Belmar:

Once all applicants created a new profile on the new system an email will follow with payment details.  The town's hope is to have payment info out to renters by April 3rd.  The provider of the new system is Edmonds Gov Tech out of Northfield, New Jersey.

The rates for the beach locker rental remain the same as last season:  $200 for residents, $250 for non-residents and $150 for Senior Citizens with proof.
