Alright, Rat Rockers, let's go back and if you had an awesome time living in this price less time and being part of something really special, you would remember a place called "Mary's Husband's Pub."

Yes, we are talking about the same place that used to have legendary "Turtle Races !"

Well if you were one of the lucky ones I found a great video for you to look back on. Check it out and maybe who knows you might be able to find yourself in this classic video. I don't know who took the video but at any rate, it is so awesome to look back at that point in time and just say "What A Hell Of A Time !! "

Of course, throughout the years, the bar has changed names, and since I've been allowed to beer to my lips I was never old enough to get into that classic bar, but I do remember the awesome stories that took place. The building and memories are still there, and as it stands today it is called "Joe's Surf Shack" and located on 18th ave in Lake Como.

If you were around the times when you can still smoke in bars and the room might have stunk of hair spray, you're really going to enjoy this awesome video. It does have the iconic " Turtle Races" in it too. So set your eyes to stun and let's bring it back and reminisce on some great times that were had by a lot of Jersey shore times.

If you were one of the lucky ones to be part of this time, we want to hear from you right here. It's okay it was so long ago you can talk about it now LOL.  Thank  you for reading this post and can't wait to read your memories here, and as always thank you for always rocking out with 95.9 The Rat.-Gotts

Gotts is the unofficial mascot of the county. Whenever WRAT is hosting an event, people ask if Gotts will be there. there. Like Bigfoot, many people claim to see him in the area. According to Gotts, he was thrown out of home school in Monroe Township. To keep up with his own legend, Gotts likes writing about wacky local news that happens – such as pepperoni vandals. His favorite movie is Point Break, and is a big lover of Miller Lite. His favorite words to live by are “The windshield is always bigger than the rearview mirror”.
