Tim McCarver, a former all star catcher and longtime voice of the World Series, is dead at age 81.
McCarver played 21 seasons in the Major Leagues for the Cardinals, Phillies, Expos, and Red Sox. He was a member of the Cardinals World Series winning teams in 1964 and 1967. Also, Tim made the All Star Team in 196 and 67.

As a broadcaster, he was a color commentator for the Phillies, Mets, Yankees, and Giants. He also called 24 World Series for ABC, CBS, and Fox. He may be most famous for teaming with Joe Buck for over 20 seasons.
