No guns allowed at casinos. Despite a a federal judge issuing a temporary restraining order against state’s ban on guns in casinos, parks, beaches and other recreational areas; New Jersey casino owners say they will still not allow guns inside casinos. The president of the Casino Association of New Jersey — Mark Giannantonio — says the nine casinos in Atlantic City will exercise their rights as private property owners to ban guns on their premises.
There’s a ban on divorces in the state. Well, temporary. A state judge vacancies in Somerset, Hunterdon, Warren, Cumberland, Salem and Gloucester counties. NOT Monmouth and Ocean. So civil trials and divorces are on hold beginning February 21st, except in very limited circumstances. State Supreme Court Chief Justice Stuart Rabner called on the executive and legislative branches of New Jersey government to address the vacancy crisis.
A memorial service for Eunice Dwumfour will be held today at Epic Church International in Sayreville. She’s the Sayreville councilwoman who was shot and killed in her car outside of her home one week ago. Investigators are still investigating the murder.
The APP reports that the FBI is now investigating the claims by Richard Osthoff of Howell that George Santos, Republican Congressman from Long Island who has been caught in a TON of outright lies about his past, stole 3 grand from him. Three grand that was raised in a go-fund-me to save Osthoff’s dog. At the time, Osthoff was a homeless veteran living in a tent just off Route 9. If true: It would make Santos amongst the worst people on the planet.
