Meat Lovers Will Love This Place! I Finally Made It To The New Wild Fork Store In Eatontown!
While I sit here and wait for the Amazon Fresh store to open in Eatontown, I made my way over to the new Wild Fork meat store in Eatontown. I’ve been meaning to get there since they opened just a few months ago, but as they say, “Out of sight, out of mind.”
The catalyst for getting my tush to Eatontown was my friend and foodie brother, Tom Fornicola. Tom used to be part of the Wednesday Warrior’s page, and now runs his very own Facebook page called, “Jersey Food Warriors.” Tom posted a video of his first shopping experience at Wild Fork and that did it for me. After work I got in the car and off I went.
Wild Fork Foods also has an e-commerce site that enables you to order online and have the products delivered right to your door.
Currently, they have 30 plus stores in the United States including one in Cherry Hill.
Before I share my shopping experience, I’m going to give you all the info you need to know about this place.
Wild Fork has a variety of meats including specialty and exotic meats such as elk, alligator, venison, ostrich, rabbit, goat, quail, and my favorite, duck.
They have many cuts of beef such as, Picanhas, Skirt Steak, Wagyu, Ribeye, Briskets, Roasts, Short Ribs, Tenderloin Strip Steaks, Sirloin, and Tri-Tips.
You can get a variety of chicken, whole and cut up, skin on, skin off, boneless etc…veal, lamb, and an incredibly diverse selection of fish and shell fish.
Wild Fork carefully selects their huge variety of meats to bring the consumer a “Farm to Fork” experience.
The meats come from the best slow feeders in the country. After aging them to perfection, they blast freeze their products at minus 40 degrees which maintains peak freshness to seal in all the vitamins and minerals. This process is 10 times faster than standard freezing, and results in less crystallization.
Your meat will be juicier and more tender than you’re accustomed to with grocery store meat.
They also sell already seasoned meats, chicken, and fish for those who’d rather not sift through their pantry looking for the right herbs, spices, and seasonings.
They carry a variety of frozen demi glace, desserts, vegetables, and side dishes, along with brioche, bread, and quality burger rolls.
This place is a heaven for passionate cooks and folks who love to grill.
I was a tad low on funds so I only spent $56. Here’s what I bought:
3Lbs of English Short Ribs, Demi Glace with Truffle Essence, 1LB of Organic Grass-Fed Beef, 1 LB of Ground Berkshire Pork, 1 LB of Ground Chicken Breast, and a 5 Lb bag of Chicken Wing Sections.
When I get paid this week I’m going back! I give this place an 8.6 out of 10.
