Mel Brooks fans, do we have some good news for you!   Entertainment Weekly has just revealed new photographs and information for Mel Brooks’ History Of The World Part II…and we’ve got it for ya!

The project will be a sequel to Brooks’ classic from 1981…History Of The World Part I.   In that hysterical movie, Brooks brilliantly satirized cave men, the Roman empire, the Bible, the Spanish Inquisition, and more important (and funny) moments from human history.

The picture is one of Brooks’ best…ranking up there with Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, and High Anxiety.   It’s told in almost sketch-comedy form…and it is fantastic.

For History Of The World Part II, Brooks will release it on Hulu as an eight-part series.   I think this format will be highly successful for this project since the original flick was like a series of short films.

The show will debut this spring.   Check out the photos of History Of The World Part II from Entertainment Weekly and star Nick Kroll and then scroll down for the parody-trailer from the first movie from 1981!
