Well, it’s over.  The Jeopardy run for Cris Pannullo ended last night.  21 straight wins.  Pannullo’s win streak ranks as the sixth-longest in the shows history and his cash winnings total of nearly 750-thousand-dollars, ranks fifth.  Hang on, though.  Pannullo will have a little more time on Jeopardy as he is guaranteed a spot in the 2023 Tournament of Champions that will be held next year.

An office manager reportedly stole more than 146-thousand-dollars from her employer in Neptune City.  NJ-dot-com is reporting that 47-year-old Jodi Vanaman took the funds from All Coast Service from 2016 through 2021.  Authorities are saying she made unauthorized purchases using company credit cards and other accounts for her own personal benefit.

The black bear hunt in parts of northern and western New Jersey is underway.  On Wednesday, the state supreme court refused an emergency request to stop the hunt, so it continues until at least Saturday.  Governor Phil Murphy, who campaigned on ending the hunt, reinstated it this year because of a huge spike in bear human encounters.   Animal rights activists and environmentalists feel more non-lethal methods should be used.

A proposed bill in the State Assembly would require adults to wear helmets while riding a bike, scooter or motorized scooter.  Current state law requires those under the age of 17 to wear a helmet while bike riding but leaves the decision up to the rider for anyone older.  Jersey would be the first state in the county to have such a law, if passed.  Assemblyman Reginald Atkins proposed the bill after a minor crash by his wife and daughter.
