Rocking The State Theater, New Brunswick This Friday 11/25!
The Holiday Season arrives this week and with it a multitude of musical magic from a Garden State yuletide powerhouse. The Wizards of Winter are back on tour to spread good tidings of comfort, joy and killer guitar riffs! Originally formed by husband and wife Scott and Sharon Kelly as a means to support their local food pantry, The Wizards of Winter grew into a star-studded supergroup, boasting talent from The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Def Leppard, Trixter, The Irish Tenors, Blue Oyster Cult, The Alice Cooper band, Broadway, and NBC’s “The Voice.”
To date The Wizards of Winter have released three original studio albums. Their live show is a holiday Rock opera with all the trappings of a Prog-Metal Christmas pageant. While the Wizards rock hard, this is a family-friendly show. Whether you’re a grizzled Metalhead or a wide-eyed child of any age, this show will lift your spirits this season.
The Wizards of Winter will roll into the State Theater, New Brunswick this Friday 11/25. Score tickets now at stnj.org! They will return to New Jersey on 12/23 to rock The Levoy Theater in Millville. Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night at 11:30 pm to hear selections from The Wizards of Winter’s catalog. On Tuesday we’ll chat with Wizard Steve Brown (Trixter/Def Leppard). Wednesday founding member Scott Kelly calls in to the show. Founding member Sharon Kelly will check in on Thursday.
