So, if you're a Social Media type...you've heard the controversy with Twitter. Since Elon Musk bought the app and made a few changes...there are now all kinds of accounts who have the "verified" blue check marks next to their name.
As a result, some people have been confused as to which verified accounts are "real" and which ones were purchased recently. So here's how you can tell...
Twitter...First...go to the verified account's profile. Once there...hover your mouse over the blue check mark itself and click it. If someone has been a legitimately verified account for a while...this message will pop up:
But...if the person recently purchased their blue check mark from Twitter...it will have this message:
