Rat Rockers! Happy National American Beer Day from your boy Gotts!

That's right we can all raise one up from our domestic collection and celebrate. We all know about our imports but today we say thank you to all our USA beers. Nearly 200 years ago Yuengling got us going from Pottsville Pennsylvania back in 1829 and they are still going as strong as strong can be. Since they came on the scene we are now able to enjoy over 7,000 American Beers!

How great is that? My favorite if you don't know already is Miller Lite and when I'm out and about you will always hear me say it's "Miller Time! "

Yeah, we are talking about some really big industries out there putting out some great American Beer. But let's not forget we have our local beers right here in Jersey to say what's up to from Asbury Park to the Atlantic Highlands even down to Cape May.

Which I can't get enough of as well. So today, National American Beer Day (October 27th) let's raise a beautiful American beer and say thank you.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL OUR TROOPS WHO FIGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY, AND TO OUR BREWMASTER RIGHT HERE IN AMERICA, WE SAY CHEERS TO OUR AMERICAN BEERS. Much love and thank you for always rocking with The Rat! -Gotts

We thought it was time to provide you with some liquid courage.

That's right, it's time to get your drink on with these 35 breweries located across the state of New Jersey. Whether you're looking for your next go-to pale al or IPA, this list has something for every beer drinker.

Which one is your favorite? Let us know! Cheers.

Gotts is the unofficial mascot of the county. Whenever WRAT is hosting an event, people ask if Gotts will be there. there. Like Bigfoot, many people claim to see him in the area. According to Gotts, he was thrown out of home school in Monroe Township. To keep up with his own legend, Gotts likes writing about wacky local news that happens – such as pepperoni vandals. His favorite movie is Point Break, and is a big lover of Miller Lite. His favorite words to live by are “The windshield is always bigger than the rearview mirror”.
