Police Seek Public Help To Find Hit And Run Driver Who Left Woman For Dead

Police officials are investigating a hit-and-run early Sunday morning in Toms River that left a 28-year-old woman dead. The woman was reportedly walking near Route 70 and Massachusetts Avenue when she was hit by what is being described as a dark-colored Ford Explorer just after 2 a.m. A witness told police, the driver initially left his vehicle and looked at the woman before fleeing towards Lakewood. The driver is being described as a tall, thin, white man with either blonde or reddish-colored hair. The driver’s vehicle also sustained significant damage to the front passenger side headlight and the hood.
Awful skydiving accident out Interstate 78 in Alexandria, New Jersey. Thirty-seven-year-old Brandon Jackson, skydiving instructor apparently had a parachute malfunction while descending on Friday. The FAA is investigating his death.
Two people were killed Friday night following a head-on collision on the Garden State Parkway. New Jersey State Police are reporting the vehicles crashed in the southbound lanes near exit 63 in an apparent opposite direction, head-on crash. The collision closed all traffic at exit 63. Not much else is known about the crash, except that the two drivers were the ones killed in the incident. The crash remains under investigation.
