Listen up, Rat Rock Nation!
An unbelievable concert announcement this morning as we have worked hard to bring Nickelback to a club stage for one night on the very day that their first album in five years is released.
The new Nickelback album "Get Rollin'" is released on November 18, 2022. That same night the band - who have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide - will take the stage at the 2500 capacity Starland Ballroom for WRAT's Nutcracker Ball.
We expect this show to sell out in minutes.
Tickets for the WRAT Nutcracker Ball with Nickelback go on sale Wednesday, October 26th at 10am. A limited number of tickets will be given away on air by WRAT-FM as we prepare to celebrate another amazing Nutcracker Ball!
Opening the concert on November 18th will be local rockers Reality Suite.
The story of Nickelback goes back decades to the release of their first album, "The State" and their single "Leader of Men". Success followed the band quickly and before long they were selling millions of records and filling concert halls all over the planet.
When the pandemic hit, they were planning on touring to support the 15 year anniversary of the 2005 album, "All The Right Reasons". Those plans were put aside and the band's members laid low, like so many of us. Once the dust began to clear they knew they had to shelve the "Right Reasons" tour and should make a new album. We know that the band will do a major tour to support "Get Rollin'" in 2023, but those plans aren't in focus quite yet.
What is in focus is the fact that November 18, 2022 is an important date for the band as we celebrate the release of their new album and blow the roof off the Starland Ballroom.
