Police officials believe three connected shootings took place over a nine hour period Monday in Long Branch and West Long Branch. One person was shot and gunfire was reported in two other locations according to police. At 3ish Monday afternoon a house was hit by several rounds. Then the Quick Chek on Broadway was the alleged target. Someone inside was injured there. The last was around 11:45 Monday night along Long Branch Avenue. The person who was shot has not been identified and is in stable condition at a local hospital according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor.
Remember the report of a record high ocean water temperature off a pier in AC this summer? 84 degrees. Well, the tests from the sensor are back: faulty. So those records aren’t accurate. Highest temp this summer was 81, the overall record is: 83, from 2016.

What is it with kids getting injured in high school football games: A third New Jersey teen is seriously hurt on the football field. Logan Banks, a senior at Keyport High School, has been hospitalized since last weekend, when he suffered a severe neck and spinal injury. He’s being treated at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Many in the public are sad to hear that the dinosaur sculptures in Allaire State Park have been vandalized. The artist says that it seems that the pieces were deliberately cut down with a knife. The dinosaurs were made of downed tree limbs and deer bones; they appeared towards the beginning of the pandemic and became a popular place for parents to bring young kids.
