Roger Maris, Jr. Says If Aaron Judge Hits 62 He’s The Real Home Run Champ

The Yankee’s Aaron Judge slugged his 61st home run of the year last night…tying the American League  record set by the Yankees’ Roger Maris in 1961. And now, 61 years…

The Yankee's Aaron Judge slugged his 61st home run of the year last night...tying the American League  record set by the Yankees' Roger Maris in 1961.

And now, 61 years after Maris slugged 61 (in 1961)...Judge has hit the magical number as well.

But something that made the news is that Roger Maris, Jr. (who was in attendance of the game) said that if Judge gets to 62 homers...that HE will be the true, single season, home run champion.

So what do you think?   Barry Bonds hit 73 home runs in the National League...and that number is still considered to be the Major League Baseball record.   But, of course, Bonds (along with Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa) has been highly suspected of doing P.E.D.'s and had related scandals because of it.

So who's the REAL record holder?   Is it Bonds?   Or will it be Judge?   Let the debate begin!
