Back in July, I wrote about Royal Farms in Brick, New Jersey getting ready to open in September. After a four year delay it’s going to open as soon as they recruit a full staff , and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into their fried chicken.

I have never had their fried chicken, but I’ve heard many people over the last four years sing the praises of this gas station- convenience store gem.

I know, you’re saying to yourself, “Fried chicken from a convenience store, how can it be all that great?”  I thought the same thing.  Royal Farms will open it’s doors for real this time. No more pandemic excuses, construction delays…etc.

1756 Route 88 in Brick will be the place to be. Not only to buy their famous fried chicken, but other food stuffs like sliders, sandwiches, subs, wings, breakfast items, a variety of salads, including their world famous crunchy  spicy chicken salad, burgers, hot dogs, fries, and an abundance of hot and cold beverages. They also do party platters for catered events.

When was the last time you catered an event filled with convenience store food? I think I’m going to wait a few weeks for them to work out the kinks that normally accompany the opening of a new business. Their employees are going to need time to find their rhythm and get in synch with one another.

If you’d like to be one of their new employees, they’re hiring, with benefits! If you make your way to Royal Farms at 1756 Route 88 in Brick on, Tuesday 9/27 from 2pm to 6pm, and on Wednesday 9/28 from 10am to 2pm, you can apply for a job.

According to their website:  In addition to a competitive wage scale, Royal Farms has designed a benefits package to help employees live healthier lives, protect their families, build rewarding careers, and save for the future. As with our wages, our employee benefits are subject to constant review and change.

Royal Farms currently offers health insurance and several voluntary options to all eligible full-time employees. To be eligible for medical benefits, employees must be considered full-time, at the time of hire (work a minimum of 30 hours a week) and be employed for a consecutive period.

Part-time employees have several benefits options as well.

{UPDATED 11/16/22}

According to Brian Roche, Director of Human Resources for Royal Farms, it looks like the grand opening of Royal Farms in Brick will be December 8th,2022.

A staff has been hired and their training begins November 28th.

It is, without a doubt, the most anticipated grand opening in the history of Brick New Jersey. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Looking forward to the official opening date and having a new business in Brick. Happy, happy! Joy, joy!
