Oh, sure... it's the city of "Brotherly Love". But let's be real: It's also the city that threw snowballs at Santa Claus!
If you travel regularly, you probably have an opinion on which place had the RUDEST locals . . . especially if you've traveled to Philly.
There's a new study out, which looked into the rudest cities in America . . . but they DIDN'T ask travelers . . . instead, they surveyed 1,500 residents of the 30 largest metro areas in the U.S. and asked them about the rudeness level in THEIR OWN CITY.
In the end, the rudest city, according to its own residents, is: Philadelphia.
The "Philadelphia Inquirer" has already RUDELY INTERRUPTED to say that Philly isn't rude, it's just honest and "straight-forward."
They share responses from locals saying that the city is only rude "if you're a baby," and they even point out that there was an iconic billboard in the city that said, "Philadelphia isn't as bad as Philadelphians say it is."
LOL. Even their reasoning is lame! The paper's argument is, "Don't believe us!"
Hey, let's not forget that Philadelphia is the city that dismantled that cute little hitch-hiking robot that made it's way across the entire country of Canada from east coast to west coast. Those gentle Canadians picked up and dropped off Hitchbot all the way across their beautiful and polite nation...
But when they tried that in, America. Hitchbot met his fate in Philadelphia. The poor guy was found smashed and in pieces along the side of a highway.
And I quote Hitchbot's creators, "There’s not a single wire inside and all the things are broken."
Enough said.
Here's the Top 10 rudest cities, according to their residents:
1. Philadelphia
2. Memphis
3. New York City
4. Las Vegas
5. Boston
