Will Double Trouble State Park Re-Open Now That A Rabid Fox Was Found?

They think they found the rabid fox in Double Trouble State Park, it’s been closed to visitors since Monday as park rangers searched for animals displaying signs of being rabid.  The discovery follows an incident where five children were bit by a fox in Lakewood.  State health officials are confirming this fox is the seventh animal to have tested positive for rabies in New Jersey.  There is still no word on when the park will re-open.

The Ironman athletic event will hamper travel in AC and Ventnor next weekend, September 10^th.  Heavy delays are expected on Albany Avenue until early afternoon.  Officials are saying the Boardwalk should see significant foot traffic during most of day.  Exits one through five on the Atlantic City Expressway will be closed from the early morning hours before sunrise to just after early afternoon, in AC next Saturday.

Speaking of traffic, could be issues on Ocean Avenue in Long Branch this Sunday as former President Trump is expected to attend a high priced fundraiser Sunday afternoon.  The fundraiser is for a candidate for New York’s governor seat.

A bribe has the chairman of Sayreville's Democratic party facing charges.  Thomas Pallando is recorded accepting thousands of dollars to influence how a case against a business might go in court.  While the business in question has not publicly been named, New Jersey Globe reports it is Club XXXV [[ Club 35 ]], a strip club which is facing charges for alleged money laundering and promotion of prostitution.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office is naming the victims of an apparent murder-suicide in the Fords section of Woodbridge.  News Twelve reports them as, 69-year-old Lynn Jasper and her husband, 66-year-old James Jasper were found dead on Soren Street late Wednesday afternoon.  Police indicate it appears that James killed his wife, then barricaded himself inside their home, and shot himself.
