Last night the New York Yankees played the Boston Red Sox on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball and the KayRod Cast on ESPN 2 and it was a good one.   Besides having Paul Simon, Bob Costas, and Roger Clemens on the broadcast...Michael Kay and Alex Rodriguez welcomed the headliner for the show...Derek Jeter.

Jeter is fresh off of leaving the Miami Marlins organization where he was a part-owner and he's also been out in the public promoting his excellent new 30 For 30 docuseries, The Captain.   If you haven't seen The Captain yet, check it out on ESPN Plus or replay it on one of the ESPN TV channels...it's a really insightful and captivating look at Jeter and the '90s and 2000s Yankees.

In the series, they discuss the fragile relationship between Jeter and A-Rod. The two were best friends when they were younger players.   But then A-Rod gave an interview or two where he insinuated that he was better than Jeter and that Jeter wasn't even the focus for Yankee opponents.

Jeter took these remarks as a slight...especially from someone who Jeter considered a friend. Then, in 2004, when the Yankees acquired A-Rod, things got even more complicated.

But, Jeter has said in The Captain that he planned on making amends with Alex.   And last night on SNB, it appeared that the two have done just that.   Check out the clips below.
