Jimmy Steal

Weekdays 3pm - 7pm

The Lakehurst Police Department and the Manchester Township Police Department are squaring off for a Glutenous Gluttonous Gastronomical Gladiator Battle!

It’s Cop vs Cop in a massive donut-eating contest! It’s all part of National Night Out 2022, tonight from 6 to 9 pm at Lake Horicon on Lake Street in Lakehurst!

There will be raffles and prizes, free food and drinks, and live music! Plus check out First Responder equipment and vehicle displays, local business vendors, K-9 Swat Demonstrations, and kid’s physical fitness competitions! Maybe most important to the night will be the Traffic Safety and DWI Simulation Course taking place.

Surely, however, the most anticipated moment is the Special Event: The Manchester Police Department taking on The Lakehurst Police Department in a good ol’ Donut Eating Contest. I mean that is awesome! A lot of fun for a great cause! Kudos to both squads for putting their waste line on the line for a good cause and some good clean fun!

National Night Out culminates annually on the first Tuesday in August and is meant to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement, while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under POSITIVE circumstances!

By the way, this National Night Out event is made possible tonight with support from local business vendors, as well as the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, and the Joint Base Mcguire-Dix-Lakehurst. So don’t miss the fun tonight from 6 til 9 at Lake Horicon, on Lake Street in Lakehurst! Bring some cash for the raffles and vendors, an appetite for the free food and drinks, and maybe save some room for a leftover donut or two! Go to Lakehurstpolice.org for more info! See you tonight!

Man, I just realized, I hope somebody brings a pot or two of coffee for the boys in blue!

Today is the day! Our national night out event starts at 6pm today. The Lake Horicon parking lot will be closed all day...
