Mega Millions Winner In Point Pleasant, Financial Assistance For Electric Vehicle Purchases

New Jersey Lottery officials say someone who purchased a Mega Millions ticket at the Quick Chek on Route 88 in Point Pleasant Friday won ten thousand-dollars. There was a 3 million dollar winner in Burlington county as well.
The state is incentivizing making the switch from gas to an electric vehicle. The state will contribute 4 grand for electric vehicles that cost less than $45,000 and 2 grand towards vehicles up to 50 thousand. Gov Murphy says the state will offer support for homeowners and apartment and condo owners to install charging stations. The state budget puts aside another four-million-dollars for local governments who want to purchase electric vehicles. Gov Murphy says his goal is to have power grids on 100-percent clean, renewable energy by 2050.
A man from Keyport is accused of sexually assaulting and robbing a woman at a motel in Tinton Falls. Kareen Lee allegedly was armed when he entered the woman’s motel room July 21st. That’s when investigators say he sexually assaulted the victim and robbed her. Lee was arrested later and charged with aggravated sexual assault and robbery. His detention hearing is set for Wednesday in Monmouth County Court.
