Red Bank’s own Kevin Smith is back with a new movie…and it’s another entry into the Clerks universe!   Fans of the Jersey film-maker are rejoicing at the news of Clerks III…starring much of the original cast.

Returning from the first movie are Kevin Smith himself, Brian O’Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Jason Mewes, and more.   And from Clerks II, Rosario Dawson is back as well.

Smith, of course, was born in Red Bank.   He then grew up in Highlands…and made the original Clerks in Leonardo (for just $27,000).

And, of course, Smith owns Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash…a well-known comic book store in Red Bank on Broad Street.   Kevin Smith fans can see a great collection of comics plus memorabilia from some of his movies (including the statue Buddy Christ from Dogma).

Clerks III is in theaters on September 13th and 15th…so make sure you check it out!
