“East Side” Dave of the Morning Rat Race here and I love movies!   I also love wrestling!   And I especially love wrestlers in movies!   It’s like the old “you got peanut butter in my chocolate…well you got chocolate in my peanut butter” thing!

So, I’ve decided to make a list…behold…it’s East Side Dave’s Top 5 Wrestlers In Movies!   With clips!   Enjoy!   BAM!

5.) Andre The Giant in The Princess Bride

Andre the Giant delivers a funny and even sweet performance in this classic film.   In fact, Andrew is a scene-stealer.

4.) Hulk Hogan in Rocky III

Hulk Hogan played the part of bad guy wrestler Thunderlips in a classic scene where he takes on Rocky.   It was on this movie that Hulk met Mr. T.   The two of them would later main event this first WrestleMania.   But it was Thunderlips that first put Hogan on the pop culture map.

3.) Randy “Macho Man” Savage in Spider-Man

The incredible Randy Savage plays Bone-Saw…a lethal wrestler who takes on Spidey in a killer cage match!

2.) John Cena in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker

If you have yet to see the NEW Suicide Squad (the one from 2021)…what are you waiting for?!   It’s insane, off-the-wall awesomeness!   And John Cena is tremendous in the movie!   He’s so good, in fact, that writer-director James Gunn decided to make a spin-off series, Peacemaker, where we follow Cena having more mind-blowing missions!

1.) “Rowdy” Roddy Piper in They Live

Honestly, I’m still not sure how They Live isn’t put up there with the first Terminator movie!   It’s f-ing fantastic!   Horror master John Carpenter perfectly casts Roddy Piper in this apocalyptic flick where Piper had to destroy zombies who are disguised as regular humans.   Piper is brilliant in the flick and the movie rocks!
