With this insane Will Smith/Chris Rock incident still in the news...we thought we'd flashback to a lesser known but still notorious televised slap!
The year was 1984...and at a WWE show in Madison Square Garden...John Stossel of 20/20 interviewed a few wrestlers backstage.
When Stossel (who was intent on showing that wrestling was predetermined) spoke with infamous villain, David Schultz, about the sport of professional wrestling...Shultz answered one of Stossel's questions with a slap (and then another slap) to the reporter.
Schultz would eventually get released from the WWE due to fallout from the incident...and Stossel ended up suing. Check it out!
