Forget about it, Rat Rock Nation!   Jersey is stealing the hearts of viewers watching the men’s NCAA National Basketball Tournament this year!

And that’s because St. Peter’s out of Jersey City have made it to the Sweet 16!   The improbable journey started when St. Peter’s beat Monmouth (from West Long Branch) in the MAAC Tournament.

From there, they shockingly beat number two seed Kentucky on Thursday…and then Murray State on Saturday!   And now the Peacocks are Sweet 16 bound!

What a great job by head coach Shaheen Holloway and St. Peter’s!   You guys have made Jersey proud!   Way to go!   And we’ll be rooting for ya when you take on the Purdue on Friday!

And this has been another Opinionated Sports Opinion from East Side Dave!   You’re welcome!
