Meryl Streep Thought Being Called “The GOAT” Was An Insult
Meryl Streep is the most decorated actress of our time. Streep has been on top of her game since her debut in 1977.
She’s been nominated for an Academy Award 21 times with three wins. Streep has been nominated for a Golden Globe 23 times, more than any other actor, taking home nine awards.
When Streep’s fellow castmate Jennifer Lawrence appeared on Late Night With Stephen Colbert, she revealed Meryl was insulted when people called her “the GOAT.”

“We offhandedly call Meryl ‘The GOAT’. Meryl kind of said, ‘That’s right, just tell the old goat where to go. I was like, ‘Meryl… you know GOAT means greatest of all time, right? We haven’t just been calling you goat this whole time!”
Meryl Streep is the perfect example of the expression, “You never stop learning,” at 72 the “GOAT” is still going strong and is still learning.
