The Carteret Performing Arts Center sits on the site of the former Ritz Theater.  It is a versatile, multi-level space that will serve as a “destination for the performing arts, educational events, live entertainment, and community engagement.”  The Carteret PAC features a main floor with theater seating dedicated to concerts, comedy shows, and various entertainment endeavors.  The venue also has a lower level comedy/jazz club with a piano lounge and a rooftop lounge.  It promises to be a destination for the arts and entertainment for many years to come. 2022 will mark the 42nd year for New Jersey Hall of Famers The Smithereens.  The band is currently working on new material.  Following the 2017 passing of singer/songwriter Pat DiNizio, the future of the legendary NJ act was definitely in question.  However, The Smithereens found a way to continue.  While DiNizio, is irreplaceable, Robin Wilson and Marshall Crenshaw have done an incredible job of stepping in.  Check out live video performances below featuring both singers!
