The world of comedy sadly lost the great Norm Macdonald after a secret, nine-year battle with cancer.

Macdonald had an absolutely amazing career in comedy.   He started in standup and quickly got a prominent writer's job with Roseanne.

From there, Norm wrote for The Dennis Miller Show and then Saturday Night Live.   It was there that Norm got his first onscreen break when he became the SNL Weekend Update anchor (which was a brilliant position for him).

Years later, after leaving SNL, Norm would return for the recurring "Celebrity Jeopardy" sketches...which were some of the funniest bits in SNL history...as Norm hysterically played a gum-chewing, wise-cracking Burt Reynolds.

So, let's take a look at five of these classic moments.   RIP, Norm.
