Turnpike Gates recorded their new EP “City In Heat” with Pete Steinkopf of the Bouncing Souls at Little Eden Studio in Asbury Park. It will be available on all streaming platforms this Friday 7/2. Turnpike Gates cuts across the Garden State with a high-energy Hard Rock sound. Much like the thoroughfare of the same name, band leader Ryan Smith crossed from the from the south/west quadrant of our area to a north/east point. Originally from Philadelphia, Smith relocated to Jersey City a decade ago. We're glad he did because his band's music is something everyone on the Jersey Rock scene should experience.
Turnpike Gates' latest EP "City In Heat" will be released on all streaming platforms this Friday 7/2. It's a compact but powerful collection of catchy tunes that have their finger on the pulse of the times. The band recorded the EP with Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls at the Little Eden Studio in Asbury Park.
