Red Bank Rocks with Jamian’s
Jamian’s in Red Bank is a top notch Jersey Rock venue with a killer kitchen and a great bar! If you haven’t been there in recent years you need to check out its expanded layout and awesome menu. Located a few hundred feet from The Count Basie Theater, its a great place to go before and after a show.
Red Bank has always been a jumpin' town. There are a number of great bars and restaraurants, a totally rad arcade, and of course a certain famous comic book store. Beyond that is a seriously strong music scene. While the storied Count Basie Theater is known to draw all kinds of globally recognized acts, there are a number of smaller venues that focus on live, local music. One of those establishments is Jamian's Food & Drink.
I've had the pleasure of hosting many a Jersey Rock Showcase at Jamian's. Owner Jamian Laviola takes a meticulous, hands-on approach to ensure a quality experience with a sound that is nothing short of top notch. In recent years the venue went through an expansion and renovation that transformed it from a cool music joint to a casual concert hall. A line of booths separates the bar area from the music area. The new layout provides some much needed extra space. If you want to get up close and personal with the performing acts, you can. If you'd rather hang out at the bar with your friends, you can still enjoy the show from a distance. There's also a back outdoor area, and a lower level boasting a couch, mirrors, and some spacious bathrooms.
Jamian's serves a number of great beers but their secret weapon is their kitchen. The quality of their food goes well beyond what you would expect to find at a music venue. In that respect Jamian's is a great bar and restaurant that doubles as concert venue. Speaking of which, Jamian's is open for dining Monday thru Friday 11 AM to 10 PM and Saturday & Sunday 12 pm to 10 pm. If you have tickets to a show at the Count Basie you can stop in to Jamain's before the show for dinner and come back after the show for drinks and a follow-up musical experience.
