A new track featuring U2’s Bono and The Edge was released today (May 14.)

As previously reported, Bono and The Edge teamed with popular Dutch DJ Martin Garrix for the track “We Are The People,” which serves as the official song for the upcoming Euro 2020 tournament.

Euro 2020 is the upcoming soccer tournament organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA.) It was originally set to take place last year, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, hence its 2020 name. The UEFA European Football Championship, like the World Cup, takes place every four years.

This collaboration is the first piece of new music released by anyone in the U2 camp since November 2019 when the band released 'Ahimsa.' This was a collaboration with Indian artist A.R. Rahman in honor of U2 performing in India for the first time in their career when they were touring in celebration of the 30th anniversary of The Joshua Tree.

“We Are The People” is available on all major digital platforms here.
