Empire is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year...deservedly so. The film is still considered to be one of the greatest sequels ever made in cinema history.
George Lucas' vision of the Saga grew darker, more layered, and more epic. The special effects actually went up a notch and looked even more amazing. John Williams' brilliant score became an instant classic. And the Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker scene at the end of the picture is still one of the most famous moments in movie history.
