Weapons Of Anew built a following of devoted fans through their high-energy stage show and outgoing audience interaction. Touring the nation with the likes of Alterbridge and Scott Stapp, they earned admirers at every stop. They did it the old fashioned way: face to face. Those personal connections built a strong foundation on which their musical achievements could stand and now their hard work is beginning to pay off.
Weapons Of Anew’s cover of The Chainsmokers “Sick Boy” has received critical acclaim. In October Spotify added the track to their “Rock Hard” & “New Noise” Editorial Playlists. A month later Billboard recognized the cover as “the most added new active Rock Song.” “Sick Boy” is currently in regular rotation on 95.9 The Rat. The cover provides an amped-up, driving version of a song with serious cultural relevance. It’s timing could not be better. We’re very happy to see the world taking notice.
While “Sick Boy” is an awesome achievement, it is not the only great piece of new music in Weapons Of Anew’s arsenal. The band recently released an epic live collection. Their 2019 Tour EP is available now. In a world seriously lacking live music, it is a very welcome addition.
Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night at 11:30 pm to hear cuts from Weapons Of Anew’s 2019 Tour EP. Singer Ray West will call in to the show each night!
