Corey Taylor: Hear His Cover of Motorhead’s ‘Ace of Spades’
Corey Taylor and his latest partnership with WWE’s NXT has led to a very energetic cover of the Motorhead classic “Ace of Spades.”
Triple H, the founder and architect of WWE’s third brand, shared Taylor’s performance of the song via Twitter writing, “Can’t thank @CoreyTaylorRock enough for lending his new track ‘Culture Head’ off his new album ‘CMFT’ as the #NXTLOUD theme for #NXTTakeOver 31…but this one is for Lem.”
Triple H famously had a close friendship with the late Lemmy Kilmister, who wrote three of the wrestler’s entrance themes. Motorhead even performed one of those themes (“The Game”) live during two different WrestleManias: WrestleMania X-Seven and WrestleMania 21.
Side note: If you ever questioned Taylor’s wrestling fandom, he’s wearing a Badstreet U.S.A. t-shirt in the video below. Michael P.S. Hayes undoubtedly got a kick out of that.
CMFT is out now with exclusive formats and bundles available at TheCoreyTaylor.com. CMFT is also available on major digital platforms here.
Taylor is celebrating the release of CMFT with a massive global livestream concert taking place tonight from the Los Angeles Forum appropriately named Forum Or Against ‘Em. The livestream can be ordered at Watch.TheCoreyTaylor.com.
