Jersey Rock Band of the Week: Dead Fish Handshake
New Album “Lies…And All That Jazz” Coming 9/18!
Dead Fish Handshake is melodic, powerful, and deep. The group was formed in 2011 by NJ native Rob Ferreira and RI native Matthew Paul. What was originally intended to be an acoustic side project developed into a Modern Rock powerhouse with the addition of Darren Furman and Mark Birkelbach. Today the act has a following within the Jersey Rock scene and beyond. DFH has shared the stage with Stone Temple Pilots, Sevendust, Three Doors Down, Fuel, Scott Stapp, Paul Rodgers, Ed Kowalczyk, Queensryche, Pop Evil, Collective Soul, Saving Abel, Gin Blossoms, Plain White T’s, Godsmack, Skillet, Anthrax, Living Colour, Hurt, and Extreme.
Dead Fish Handshake’s latest album “Lies…And All That Jazz” will be released on Friday 9/18. It was co-produced by Dead Fish Handshake and Shane Stanto of Architekt Studios. With the release of the new LP DFH seeks to honor “a timeless mainstream rock sound while bringing their innovative melodies and sonic textures to new audiences.” The new album draws influence from Foo Fighters, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, and U2.
