The latest clip from the upcoming Ozzy Osbourne documentary, Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, features the Prince of Darkness talking about meeting and working with guitarist Randy Rhoads.

In the video below, Ozzy said, “I wanted to be more mainstream without selling out to the pop world. I wanted to be more accessible. It was a slow process at first until I met someone who put me in touch with Randy Rhoads. It kind of all clicked together then.”

Ozzy then gushed that Rhoads was “something extra-special” and “like a gift from God.” He added about the late guitarist, “One thing he gave to me was hope. He gave me a reason for carrying on. He had patience with me…and he was very good to work with. He’d pull the best out of you.”

Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne premieres on Monday, September 7 at 9 PM ET/PT
