New Single Coming Monday 8/24!
It was Thursday 3/5/2020. People were beginning to take notice of a global pandemic that had just began to affect our area, but overall things were still very normal. That night the Jersey Rock Showcase Series rocked The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park with a stacked bill before a great crowd. It was the eve of the social distancing era and we made the most of it. On that night this week’s Jersey Rock Band of the Week turned in an epic performance.
In the almost 6 months since they rocked the Jersey Rock Showcase, The Cryptkeeper Five have traversed a much different musical landscape than the one we all knew on 3/5. The downtime presented by the statewide lockdown has given them a chance to look back at some previously unreleased material. As a result, the band will begin releasing singles for the first time in their quarter-century history. Each tune is a quality track that just did not fit with the theme of previous albums. They do, however, work perfectly as stand-alone releases. The first of which, is the single “Little Angle VS The Lost Faith Kids.” It’s a somber, beautiful tune with some charming piano work and a great message.
Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 pm to hear the new single and other selections from the Cryptkeeper Five! Singer/guitar player Johnny Ott will call in to the show each night!
