It's the 27th Anniversary of one of the best baseball brawls in MLB history!
The date was August 4th, 1993...and the Texas Rangers were playing the Chicago White Sox. Hall-Of-Famer Nolan Ryan was on the mound for the Rangers, when he hit the White Sox' Robin Ventura with a pitch...and Ventura did not like that.
On paper, Ventura seemed to have the advantage. He was only twenty-six years old. And while Ryan was a living legend at the time...he was forty-six.
But Robin Ventura learned one hard lesson: Do No Mess With Nolan Ryan.
