A new trailer for the upcoming Creem Magazine documentary has just been released…and it looks awesome!
From 1969 to 1989, Creem was one of the most influential and important rock magazines in America.
Creem is credited by many with inventing the term and concept of “punk rock”; and hailed acts like the New York Dolls, Iggy Pop, Motorhead, Judas Priest, and even Van Halen long before the mainstream press had given them their due.
Creem also was the employer of writer/editor Lester Bangs…who is considered by some to be the greatest rock critic ever. Bangs’ life was later depicted in the movie Almost Famous…when Philip Seymour Hoffman played a version of him.
Creem: America’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll Magazine is scheduled to be released later this summer. Check out the trailer below!
